ENGLISH TEACHER
Teaching English since 2011. I am a native English speaker born and raised in Saskatchewan. Learning French as an adult, I understand the challenges my clients face. Passionate about entrepreneurship, I founded Accent Unique in 2011.

After graduating from Tourism Management and Ecotourism, I have travelled to over 40 destinations all over the world. I love yoga, mediation, swimming and hiking in nature.

I believe each class has to be fun, full of laughter and interesting conversation to ensure learning is an enjoyable experience.

“I believe languages open doors of opportunity!”

ENGLISH TEACHER
Teaching English and French since 2015. I am a native English speaker and a near-native French speaker. I grew up in Montréal, Québec

Bachelor's Degree at Concordia University and completing the BA Spécialisation en traduction from French to English. I also have a TEFL certification.

I enjoy cooking, travelling, and soccer.

Everyone learns in their own unique way. Each class should be welcoming, fun, and interesting to promote an interactive learning environment that will specifically target communication.

"Don't limit yourself by speaking one language, challenge your comfort zone and open more doors!"

ENGLISH TEACHER
Teaching English since 2013. I grew up bilingual because my mom is American, and my dad is French. I lived in Wisconsin for 11 years, then in the south of France for 7 years.

I have a PhD in Film Studies from the University of Montreal. I love to play volleyball and travel.

My priority when teaching adults is to make you feel at ease. My second priority is to inspire you. Learning a language opens the door towards new people, a new outlook on life, and new skills.

“Whatever your goals may be, if you're inspired, you'll be motivated enough to reach them!”

ENGLISH TEACHER

Native English speaker with 16 years of professional teaching experience at all levels and ages.

I have a BSc. in Psychology at Concordia, and a second degree in teaching English-as-a-Second-Language at McGill. I speak fluently in English and in French.

I love to discuss current events, travel, and have a soft spot for furry creatures.

I love it when my students succeed in making connections on their own and can demonstrate their learning in a real-world context.

“I want learning to be fun, meaningful and engaging!”

Carolina
french & english teacher
Teaching since 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia. I speak French, English and Spanish fluently.

I am an artist who loves making sculptures, installations and beautiful origami wall art. I also love travelling and learning about fascinating cultures, biking around Montreal, and cooking which is very therapeutic for me.

I believe every person is unique and therefore has a different approach to learning. This is why it's so important for me to always remain as open as possible to my student's needs and requests by asking questions and allowing a space for open conversation.

“Communication, fun and patience are key!”

English & IELTS teacher

I have a bachelor’s degree in Translation and a 250-hour advanced TESOL diploma from Toronto with almost 16 years of experience. I specialize in teaching the four skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) at all levels as well as IELTS Academic and General Modules.

I love working out and reading academic articles in my free time. I’m also fond of playing computer games and learning new software programs.

When it comes to learning a new language, I believe being able to communicate both fluently and accurately is key.

“Autonomy, confidence and satisfaction make learning a new language an easy goal.”

FRENCH & ENGLISH TEACHER
Teaching music for 5 years and languages for 2. I grew up in Texas and Quebec, so I am perfectly bilingual. I also learned Spanish while travelling

I love gardening, permaculture and having a positive impact on the environment.

I think studying a language should be dynamic and focused on practicing.

Many language schools form groups with too many students and focus on written exercises. Learning the rules is one thing, but being able to apply them fluently is another! I love using drills or conversations oriented towards what needs to be practiced.

“It's just like learning a musical instrument: it takes time and practice, practice, practice!”

FRENCH & ENGLISH TEACHER
I am a native French and English speaker born and raised in Ontario. I have been teaching languages for over 10 years and can speak 3 other languages including Arabic, Spanish and Italian.

I and have degrees in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry and Computing Technology. In my spare time, I am learning Russian and enjoy playing sports and staying active.

Lessons are tailored to your interests and specific learning style. I target all aspects of the language, including conversation, grammar, reading comprehension and writing for a richer learning experience.

“It's never too early or too late to learn or master a new language, so let's get started!”

Julie
ENGLISH TEACHER

Teaching English since 2015.  I am from Alberta with an undergraduate degree in Calgary and a Master of Arts, Sociology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

I speak Italian and am currently learning French.
I enjoy meditation, authentic relating, cooking Indian food, and writing.

I believe it's up to the teacher to make the student as comfortable as possible with a new language. The more relaxed a student feels, the more the brain absorbs new information.  Students should be speaking as much as possible, and in the most natural way.

“I focus on conversation, using mother-tongue expressions, while being playful with language learning.”
